Ultimate Guide to the London Eye
The London Eye has become synonymous with the city: providing the backdrop to New Year’s celebrations, postcards and many a selfie. We’ve put together the ultimate guide to the London Eye to help you with your visit!
Iconic Wheel
A 443ft Ferris Wheel on the South Bank and London’s most popular tourist attraction. When erected in 1999 it was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, however it’s height was surpassed by the 520 foot tall Star of Nanchang in 2006. Today it is Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel, offering stunning 360 degree views of London from 32 glass capsules (one for each of London’s boroughs). The capsules are numbered 1 to 33, with no capsule number 13 for superstitious reasons. Try to get there early to avoid queues. You can always go on our London Free Tour afterwards which starts at 11am, Westminster tube station.
